Spaceship Earth 1982 – Martins 2023 edit from Martins Videos on Vimeo.
A new version of my recreation of the original Spaceship Earth. Thanks to new footage we now have a better understanding of every show scene, including the computer area. I’ve tidied up the video quality a little, but it is still very much of its time, as is the audio – although again this is the complete Vic Perrin (yes, Vic) narration without sections missing.

The next in my completely new Futureworld re edits series and the third in the Spaceship Earth trilogy. See the changes made in 2007 and then take a full multi angle, full HD complete ride through. Great low light photography hopefully shows every detail of this amazing ride. The visuals are coupled with hopefully the highest quality, most complete audio mix available in the fan community, with possibly the clearest and most complete animatronic dialogue available to date.
Afterwards take a full tour of Project Tomorrow and a look in the Siemens Lounge, Base 21.

Spaceship Earth 1994 – Martins Complete Ultimate Tribute from Martins Videos on Vimeo.
The second of my completely new edits and the second in the Spaceship Earth series.
After seeing what changes were made in 1994, take a full multi camera ride of the whole attraction using new and re rendered footage, all of far better quality than my original edit. Virtually every separate video clip has been tweaked and cleaned as much as I can. This is matched by a new high quality audio mix that has far more source audio than previously available.
After unloading, walk into Global Neighborhood for a tour and then take the same tour five years later in the “New” Global Neighborhood.
Finally see the changes made around the attraction for the Millennium.
Spaceship Earth 1982 & 86 – Martins Complete Ultimate Tribute

Spaceship Earth 1982 & 86 – Martins Complete Ultimate Tribute from Martins Videos on Vimeo.
The first of my totally re edited Futureworld edits. Over ten years ago I first created my “Ultimate Tributes” and now they’re showing their age. Each one has been re built from scratch with far better quality, more footage and more angles, more art and construction material, far better higher resolution graphics and much higher quality, brand new audio mixes – with more clean live and source audio than before. Each video clip has been enhanced, cleaned as much as I can, and any screen flicker removed as much as possible.
Start back at the origins of EPCOT Center as the park we know began to emerge and the centrepiece attraction and theme developed. See how the building developed, the storyline progressed, and how the ride fits inside. Following a full construction section and dedication highlights take a trip through the 1982 version via art, models, vintage film clips and recreations and with a new audio mix. After riding take a full tour of Futurecom in Communicore West.
Next fast forward to 1986 to see the changes that were made, then walk into the building for a full multi camera ride of the Cronkite version with new footage and a new clean audio mix. See a brand new recreation of 180top, capturing the style and feeling of the complex show scene and take a descent to a brand new Tomorrows Child mix. On exiting the ride see the complete overhead Earthstation Futureworld film projection and take a look at the Worldkey Information System.
These new tributes have been a real labour of love and in production for over a year. Whilst there’s only so much that can be done with recordings of the era I hope you’ll agree they are far better than the previous versions and are some of the best available to the fan community.

Here is my longest single attraction edit to date. Travel back to 1984 and see every major change made to the attraction. The differences between Perrin and Cronkite, Cronkite and Irons, and Irons and Dench. Also see changes made over the years to the post show area. Next see the work done to bring the attraction into the 21st century, and then board your Time Machine Vehicle for a full 22 minute ride through of the latest version detailing every show scene from 8 video angles with a source / Induction / ALD / clean live audio mix. Finally, take a full tour of Project Tomorrow.
SSE 86 180 top re creation

SSE 86 180top re creation from Martins Videos on Vimeo.
Inspired by a very interesting and revealing thread in the WDWMagic.com forums, here is an as-good-as-I-can-make-it re creation of the top of Spaceship Earth from the Cronkite era. Starting in the Cinema and TV lounge scene, take a multi angle video and new audio journey through The Computer (boys room) and the Office, the Hi Tech Communications Center and into 180top itself, with enhanced video, complete with original Earth projection, satellites and astronauts in full, the space station with animatronic robot arm control girl at her window, then the full descent with laser effects and wonderfully stylised early 80`s projections of the Tomorrows Child finale. It doesn`t quite have Industrial Light and Magic standard effects, but this should give a good idea of how the second half of the attraction appeared to guests in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Some footage from jefflangedvd.com with thanks.

The full multi angle ridethrough of the Cronkite 1986 attraction, with a look at the changes made. The attraction also has a full enhanced audio mix and the full 3 verse Tomorrows Child I mixed especially for this video. Then look at a full concept and construction section for Earthstation and Communicore, and take a multi angle tour of both with layout diagrams and classic 80`s EPCOT Center music, featuring Futurecom, Expo Robotics, Futurechoice Theatre, Centorium, Energy Exchange, Travelport and Backstage Magic hands on. Finally, watch the complete Backstage Magic main show with Julie and IO. 59 minutes.
Spaceship Earth `82

I have to point out I’ve simulated some of the ascension, space and descent scenes (using various methods from smoke guns at work to photoshopped still images being videoed to making my own monitor footage) but the results are all based on period sources and descriptions from 1982-6. Together they should show what Spaceship was like to a guest on October 1st 1982.
Now the vid – starting at the concept stage from when the ride was mainly behind a domed building, track the development through design and construction to the dedication ceremony. Then take a 1982 multi angle ride, using re -edited Cronkite version video footage interspersed with the aforementioned clips I produced. Features a restored 1982 recording of the full Vic Perrin voiceover too.
