Continuing my occasional Epcot series, after covering both versions of O’Canada! here is the current Circlevision film. Shot from 3 angles and again stitched together for a controlled pan around the theatre as required, plus a better than just live audio mix.

See the changes made in converting Mission 2 into Hyperspace Mountain, then again take a full tour of the third version of the attraction including press footage, a full queue walk including the Premiere Access entrance and a full ride through with enhanced composite video and a mixed source audio track.

Following on from part one, jump to 2005 to see the changes made for Space Mountain: Mission Two. Take a full walk of the queue, and a full ride on the second version of the ride again with video as the eye saw it using a mix of low light video and CGI.

In honour of the attractions 30th anniversary here is part 1 of my all new trilogy about this amazing attraction. Dive back to the late 1980s to see the origins of Discovery Mountain, how the design changed over time and how the final design was arrived at. See the design of the attraction, how it works, the layout, take a CGI ride through – everything! Then see the highlights of the grand opening ceremony followed by a full, detailed walk through of From the Earth to the Moon as it was at opening along with a full on ride of what the eye saw using a mixture of CGI, official footage and composite videos. It’s not just a big dark building!

The new nighttime show from Disneyland Paris. Park tech was heavily upgraded for this, with new searchlights, lasers, lighting, smoke machines in the hub and on Main Street, snow machines on Main Street, and projection mapping on Main Street. All this along with fireworks, fire, fountains and drones! To cover all this we shot in 4K from the very front row, the back of the hub, half way down Main Street plus a bonus angle. The audio mix is live ambiance plus a better-than-just-live score. On top of this, I also shot the full post show from all angles too! Enjoy.

After last months blast from the past, fast forward to the present for the park’s current night time show. Shot in 4K from multiple angles to capture all the details, see the complete show accompanied by a source music / live ambiance soundtrack.

Finally, a large piece of the Epcot night time show history is answered. Here for the first time – in full – is the second regular night show the park held, which I don’t believe is available anywhere else. Building upon the previous short lived Carnival de Lumiere, and featuring 4 fountain and firework barges, 2 80x30ft floating rear projection screens and almost 700 firework shells, this show may appear crude today but was a huge technical milestone in the summer of 1983 and was subsequently built upon for Laserphonic Fantasy, the IllumiNations series and beyond.  This is a show from December 1983, and whilst the 2 angle video quality is of its time I’ve cleaned it up somewhat to offer a fascinating look into a large part of the park’s entertainment history.

Here is the full 2024 version of Disney Dreams, shot in 4K from multiple angles and with a source music / live audio mix and all effects from the various versions included. This multimedia extravaganza rewrote the Disneyland Paris nighttime spectacular when it premiered in 2012 and the 2023-4 version introduced new state of the art effects.
