Disneyland Paris Martins Complete Tour – Part One: Main Street USA

by on Jun.01, 2024, under Disneyland Park (Paris), Disneyland Resort Paris, Main Street, U.S.A.

Nearly 20 years ago I attempted a “full” video tour of Disneyland Paris. Now, over 2 years in the making, I’ve tried it again. The first thing I found was it wouldn’t fit into just one video! And so, I’ve split it into several episodes each looking at one land of Disneyland Parc, the studios, and also the wider resort, Disney Village, and a tour of each of the onsite hotels. Recorded in 4K over multiple visits between June 2019 and May 2024, and all set to the appropriate music, I wanted to show more than just attractions. Yes, I do look at the highlights of each ride and show, but I wanted more to show the design, architecture, details, the atmosphere, the ambiance and more of the parks and resort and also not make it just a one shot walk-around. I also wanted to look inside every shop and restaurant, at transport options, and to present the parks and resorts at their best as a guide to a potential first timer, a memory for those who have visited, and as a show of the fantastic, beautiful design of the original park and resort. A lot of footage was shot during Covid restrictions which offered a great look around almost empty parks.

Such is the current speed of renovations and additions in DLP, I’ve had to re edit and show some areas in their before and after state. I’ve also purposely included – in detail – the Village and Studios Park as they were in early 2024, right before their respective massive overhauls began as a reminder of how they used to be.

One challenge was to include all this detail I wanted to show, but also to keep the video moving and not dwell on anything too much and basically not become too boring. I hope you think I found that balance.

And so, here is part one – Main Street, USA. Explore Fantasia Gardens, the arrival process, Town Square, each shop, every corner, Walt’s and Plaza Gardens Restaurants, every quick serve option, the undercover arcades, the vehicles, take a ride on the fire engine, look around the railroad station, look at the design of each buildings architecture, and end inside the castle. Unlike later episodes there isn’t any real attention to a specific attraction since the whole area is an attraction in itself. I hope you enjoy this and the other episodes.
