A little something I’ve wanted to revisit for a while now. With more footage than previously, that I’ve cleaned up a little, here is a multi angle edit of EPCOT Centers 1984 to 1988 lagoon night show. Audio is a source score / live ambiance mix. Continuing this series, start by taking an in depth look the history of the Orlando version of this attraction, how and why it was built, how it was designed and laid out, how it differs from Anaheim and a look at the major changes made since 1973 including the original treasure room scene in full.

Next take a walk into Adventureland for a complete tour of the attraction including both queues in full and a full multi angle ride through including each scene in full, followed by a tour of Caribbean Plaza.

I was gifted 70 gig of 4K footage mainly shot in 2017 that I could use so long as I released it in 4K, so as well a 1080p version this is my first edit also in 4K. Audio is a source / clean live mix leaning more towards full source.

The footage was also shot in 2017 specifically to capture the original auction scene in full – as it is presented here. I’ve purposely edited this to capture the attraction as it was at that time. Part one (Anaheim) features the new auction scene with Redd in full.

Then see the major changes made over the years and then take a full tour of the interactive queue and a multi angle full ride through. Take in the mountain from various angles, the Riverboat and the railroad, take a ride at night and then see how Tokyo’s version was designed, the changes made for it and also take a ride on that version too. Phew!

A re edit I’ve wanted to do for a while. Go back to 1982 and follow the history of Carnaval de Lumiere then New World Fantasy, then take a detailed look at Laserphonic Fantasy. This is followed by a look at the changes made in 1988, and then the whole original IllumiNations show, shot from multiple angles with a source score / live ambiance audio mix. Video is of its vintage, but I’ve done some cleaning up and enhancements to improve the quality.

A huge edit, in the making for nearly a year, of one of Disney’s most advanced attractions. See the origins of Star Wars expansion in Orlando, how the land developed, and the development of the attraction.  Follow the ride from entrance to exit in an animated hi resolution and highly detailed plan, how it works, and how it was built.

Next walk into Orlando’s  Batuu and walk an empty standby line before a multi angle preshow one, then board your transport for a multi angle, multi picture preshow two ride. Take in the destroyers hanger and interior, experience preshow three and then board your ride vehicle for a multi angle, full ride offering viewpoints from both vehicles. Exit the attraction and see the area – and ride changes – at night and then compare both ride vehicles viewpoints in a synchronised split screen ride through. All video was shot in HD or 4K and audio is a huge live / clean / source quality mix.

For the attractions 38th birthday, here is an updated version of the original version of Spaceship Earth. With new footage, for the first time a complete representation of how the attraction looked for its first four years is now possible. Quality is what you would expect from the mid 1980s and early 90s, and a lot of footage is from the 1986 version for clarity, but everything is true to how the ride looked in 1982. Similarly, for the first time using a combination of recordings, the complete Vic Perrin (yes, it was Perrin) narration is now possible to hear. Previous recordings have had words, sentences and complete sections missing or inaudible but this live mix includes the complete original soundtrack. Again, quality is not perfect but the entire original narration is now here.

In honour of its 45th anniversary here is a huge tribute to Orlandos Space Mountain.

Trace the origins back to the mid 60s, see versions that weren’t built, and follow their evolution to the final product. Take a detailed look at the design and layout of the final version, see how it was built, and then the grand opening.

Each major version, and smaller changes, are covered in detail with plenty of archive footage and new audio mixes. Eras covered in detail include:

the original 1975 RCA theme including the preshow area, load, the ride and RCAs Home of Future Living.

Updates in 1985 including the preshow area, queue, load and RYCA-1 Dream of a New World

The FedEx era from 1994 including the preshow and queues, load, SMTV, ride, postshow and the video arcade

The 2009 refurb changes, outside and inside

The chicken exit and the 2010 audio additions

And then we come to the present with a look at the exit speedramp removal, the exit diversion around the rear of the mountain, and a full tour of the Mountain as it is today, from outside, the queue, preshows, load, the ride in amazing low light quality with a source audio mix, and the post show and exit as it is minus the speedramp.

I’ve used as much archive material, both audio and visual, as possible to hopefully make this 90 minute long video a true tribute to the original Magic Kingdom thrill ride.
